My Sis...

Let me introduce you to my sister Georgia, one of the coolest people in my life. She doesn't know this but she is actually one of my fashion icons. This girl is not afraid to mix and match, put crazy colours together or just wear whatever the hell she feels like wearing! She was one of the factors contributing to my going to fashion school (she doesn't know that either). We feed off each others creativity, styles and constantly steal each others clothing. Currently she is here in Africa visiting me and even though we have stupid random cat fights we are still the best of friends and long time fashion buddy's.

Here she is in all her fashionable glory wearing my high wasted vintage pants, her vintage shirt and our grandmothers scarf turbaned around her noggin. And if she turned around you would see a very awesome black nap-sack with Curious George wearing pajamas embossed onto it. Awesome? Yes indeed!

Painted poles at our safari lodgings in South Luangwa, Zambia. This reminds me of my finger painting days, free of any inhibitions and blissfully getting as much paint on you as on the canvas.

"Lelo" in the African tribe Bemba means 'Today'.  Today I am a fashion designer living in Zambia. I am setting up a sewing program in a local orphanage. I have been here for eight months and will be another three. This blog is basically for myself as I wanted a place to put my art work, designs, photography, and what I am currently sewing and what other people are doing too. All for the fun of doing it and sharing it, and hopefully inspiring other artists or future artists or whatever! If you want to know more about me and my sewing project then go to my daily life blog www.thewayitseams.blogspot.com
